To encourage faculty members within the College of Dentistry to promote EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) teaching activities, enhancing English conversation skills among teachers, staff, and students. From November 29, 2023, to June 6, 2024, we are organizing a variety of English conversations with the native-speaking teacher (NET) for the EMI program. This event invites foreign instructor to engage staff and students in discussions on current affairs in English, fostering the sharing of personal thoughts, and strengthening individual English conversational abilities. The contents of this program are diverse, with varied topics including:
1. Technology and Society: Exploring how technology influences our lives and relationships.
2. Environment: Discuss climate change, sustainability, and individual environmental practices.
3. Future Work: Examining changes in the job market, the rise of remote work, and emerging industries.
4. Health and Well-being: Focusing on mental and physical health techniques, mindfulness, and self-care practices.
5. Books and Literature: Sharing favorite books and authors, and discussing literature's impact on society.
6. Social Issues: Addressing current events, activism, and topics related to equality and justice.
7. Hobbies and Interests: Sharing personal hobbies and how they contribute to happiness.
8. Personal Goals and Aspirations: Discussing dreams, goals, and steps to achieve them.
9. Global Issues: Examining significant global challenges, such as poverty, education, and healthcare.
10. Lessons from History: Discussing important events and their relevance to contemporary society.
